Sea Turtles Nesting at DeBordieu with a Short Video

Hobcaw: Robin and Brandie had an exciting encounter with a daytime nesting turtle this morning around 6:15! Walking south, they had a false crawl 40 yds. south of 6. In the distance they could see one set of tracks and realized the turtle was still on the beach and they picked up their pace. Robin was able to take a video of the turtle's return to the ocean.



The turtle nested in a great spot above the wrack line 65 yds. south of the 13 mile marker and Brandie did a good job locating the eggs and protecting the nest (photo). Whew...what a great morning for Robin and Brandie!
