Giant Redfish and Trout – Fall Fishing Charters in Georgetown & Pawleys Island, SC – Winyah Guide Service

Friend, Capt. Jay Nelson's blog update is below. I fished with Jay a couple of days recently with good success. This is such a great time of year for the SC Lowcountry.  Check out the great pics, especially the bald eagles below. Great work Jay.

Giant Redfish and Trout – Fall Fishing Charters in Georgetown & Pawleys Island, SC – Winyah Guide Service

Had an awesome weekend fishing with friends, clients, and my daughter. This is the best time of year on the Georgetown marsh and everything is biting. Anglers have been spending time targeting large redfish, sea trout, flounder, tarpon, and sharks. We’ve also been seeing a large number of bald eagles in the marsh this week. Glad to see they are increasing in numbers. The next four weeks will be the best fishing of the entire year. Get out there if you have the chance!!!!

Click on the photos to view them in full size…thanks and have an awesome week!

This is one of my favorite pics from the weekend. It looked like the eagle was bowing his head for some Sunday morning worship.

If you click and view this image in full size you can see the bands placed on this eagle – would love to find out where/when he was banded.

  1. I wonder how heavy are those fishes to carry barehands? It can feed around 50 people perhaps.

  3. This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It is the old what goes around comes around routine.
