Things to Do on Earth Day! with help from the Sun News

There are so many things that you can do in DeBordieu today, but The Sun News had some additional things to condiser. Hobcaw is our nest door neighbor.
Earth Day outings
• “Into the Wild” lecture about butterfly conservation, noon-1 p.m. (Also, “Mother Nature’s Cafe, ” 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and “Meet the Animals.” 2:30 p.m. – both daily through June 6) at Brookgreen Gardens, on U.S. 17 between Murrells Inlet and Litchfield Beach (open 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m.). • “Earth Day: Build a Bluebird’s Home Sweet Home,” 1-4 p.m. at North Inlet-Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, at Hobcaw Barony, on U.S. 17, just north of Georgetown, including the building of a wooden nesting box to bring home, and walk on a bluebird trail of boxes posted on site. $10 per bluebird house.
