A Film Screening of “Half Pint Flask”
Friday, February 17

What became America’s first opera, Porgy and Bess helped shape views worldwide of African American life in the South. Half Pint Flask involves a researcher from the North who, disrespectful of the Gullah culture, removes a collectible bottle which decorates a grave. This film has not aired since the 1980s and SCETV shares it with Hobcaw for special screenings.
