Hunting for Shark Teeth at Pawleys Island, Litchfield and DeBordieu-short video

I took my boys to out for an early breakfast in Pawleys Island. They filled their bellies each eating a whole waffle!

It was such a beautiful morning that we decided to take a ride on to Pawleys Island. We reached the South End, and I asked the boys if they would like to get out of the car and walk on the beach.

Our unplanned visit to the beach turned into a shark tooth hunting expedition. 

In a relatively short time frame, we found three shark's teeth. This was a thrill for the boys. It is especially nice for a child to discover something. Its like treasure hunting!

Shark tooth hunting is not hard. It is not exactly easy either. Shark's teeth are white when still in a shark's mouth. The teeth eventually turn black over time after falling out of a shark's mouth. 

In a shelly part of the beach simply sit or kneel down and focus on black objects. Shark's teeth typically have a polished like shine to them compared to shells. It may take a little time, but finding a shark tooth treasure can be done!

Sand castle building is often a distraction to shark tooth hunters.
